Fair Haven at South Lake
We have a cottage (actually a year-round century home) available for rent by the week during the summer of 2007. It has four bedrooms with beds for 7 people and is located on South Lake, just outside the town of Minden (Highway 35, north of Lindsay.) It's about two and a half hours' driving time from Mississauga.
The lake is shallow at the shore with a sandy bottom. Bass and perch fishing available. There is a small canoe and paddle boat and several adult sized life jackets (you would need to bring appropriate child-sized life jackets). There is a dock with a sitting area at the end as well as a raft. There's a campfire pit and lots of lawn for outdoor games. The house is air conditioned and has a dishwasher, washer and dryer for laundry, microwave oven, and TV (four channels). There's a four piece bathroom upstairs and a three piece bathroom downstairs. There is a large screened porch overlooking the lake, and a propane barbecue.
